Caring Talk

An important way of taking care of ourselves is by talking with one another. The way we do that talking is important. I call one good way of caring talk dialogue. We make a positive move toward taking care of ourselves by taking part in an ongoing dialogue.

Some have found dialogue topics like the following useful: relationships, opinions, assumptions, sources of information, ways of cooperating. to do ourselves great good we need to talk enough to enable us to recognize one another's values, desires, assumptions, and to come to trust one another appropriately.
