Now that it is becoming unpopular to kill more than a handful of Mayans at a time on what will US taxpayers choose to spend their taxes. My guess is that they will just chose to continue abdicating their responsibility.
I am still foolish enough to be surprised that my fellow taxpaying citizens were willing to pay to promote the killing of Mayans in Guatemala as well as paying for the wherewithal to do so for half a century.
"As I See It Today" could be the title of this new iteration of my main blog. The "It" would then be the following themes with which I intend to deal here: ~ history ~ politics, economics, government ~ family tree ~ people, places, ~ culture, society ~ dialogue and a bit of me

What Kind?
What kinds of people are there?
What kind of person am I?
What kind of person are you?
What kind of people have we been?
What kind of people do we want to be?
Who decides what kind of people we are?
Why do we use so much of our collective wealth to kill and dominate others?

U.S. War Dollars
Right now we spend more money on war than anyone on earth has ever spent.
We spend more on war than any other country.
We spend more on war than the next 7 top war spenders combined.
The only people on earth who spend more for war per person than do the citizens of the US are the people of the U.A.E.
Let us remember that a principle purpose of war is to kill people.

ACLU
Is it true that many members of the ACLU believe that it is Constitutional for the few to arrange to kill many at the expense of all?
