How Can We Vote?
I used to know how to vote, but now I am having some trouble. For example I don't know how to:
~ participate effectively in the nomination process.
~ compare a candidates present words with his past voting and political record.
~ know the nature of his political associates and friends.
~ vote well without being a full time politician.
~ find a group to share in the tasks suggested above.
and like that.
Guess it comes down to getting good information.

I imagine that you have some interest in wealth and resources. You probably have some questions about them. I do. Some of them may be similar to yours. Some the the questions that I have about public wealth and resources are listed below:
~ What are the wealth and resources in the U.S.?
~ What wealth and resources are fairly available to you and me?
~ Which parts of wealth and resources have not been monetized?
~ What percentage of U.S. wealth and resources are in the hands of the richest 10% of us? How much more do you want to let them have?
~ Is information a valuable resource? Where is a trustworthy source?
~ Which are the main resources in the U.S.? Who controls them?
~ Is blood a resource? Is life? Is sweat? Is time?
~ Are cooperation and organization resources?
~ What does cooperation have to do with wealth?

A Citizen of the Republic
As a citizen of the republic I find myself unsure of the usual methods of effecting policy makers and planners. I find I don't have a practical way of knowing the standards of 'my representatives,' much less effecting them.
For example how can I keep informed what elected representatives are doing at the Federal level to promote scientific research appropriate to my health.
I feel ignorant and ineffectual. Is the tide so against the existence of a democratic republic so that it is best to forget the dream of having a functional republic and to go with the oligarchic flow?

Know the Writer
Appropriate trust is important.
Reliable information is available on this www.
It takes some skill and understating to sort the useful and the accurate from the rest.
Knowing the writer is of some help in judging in which cases and to what extent he may be trusted.
Here are some more tips I have found helpful in my attempts to get trustworthy, accurate, useful, reliable information:
~ Look for a post written or reviewed by a qualified professional or expert..
~ Be aware of the probable nature of the bias. A company selling a product is likely to have a bias in favor of that product.
~ Check the date of the post. Up-to-date info may be more useful than information that is several years old
~ Seek a second opinion. Get quality opinions from more than one source.
~ Get help to evaluate the information and how the information gathered applies to you.
When I express an opinion I am very happy when someone asks, "What makes you think so?" or "What is your evidence?"
A person who won't find time to answer a question may not be a good source.

CIA
Doesn't it seem that a significant number of past and present CIA related people have been trying to share interesting info with us?
