Athrosclerosis

Warning signs:
blood pressure over 130/80,
being over 20% over weight,
close relatives who developed heart disease before 60 years of age,
blood cholesterol above 180,
obesity,
blood triglyceride level over 250.

Prevention and treatment:
begin weight reduction program,
reduce consumption of saturated fats,
increase consumption of fish,
increase consumption of dietary fiber,
take aspirin,
reduce sugar intake,
establish exercise regimen,
reduce consumption of animal fats,
get supervision of a physiotherapist,
swim 1/2 hour a day,
take supplementary vitamin C
1/3 hour of strenuous exercise every other day.
