Jablon, Lutenberg, Litzburg

My maternal great grandparents left Prussia (Litzburg, Lutenberg, Jablon) in about 1887. Their immigration papers listed Poland/Grtmany as their birth countries. I believe that they both came from Catholic families. Both could read and write, but neither spoke English at the time of their immigration to the U.S. I suspect that they both spoke German and Polish.

My maternal great gradfather's name was Theodore Danielewski/Daniels and his father was Frank Daniels.

My maternal great grandmother's  maiden name was Hellena Miller and her mother was a Zgozelski or Goczwelski.

Please tell me whatever you may know of the probable happenings in or around Litzburg, Jablon, and Lutenberg between about 1850 and 1900. Of course I will be very pleased to hear anything which you may tell me related to these great grandparents of mine.

I believe that they left Prussia just about at the same time the railroads were being nationalized.

  1. You have their immigration papers ! ! ! ???????????

  2. Gerry, You have caught me in a lie. If I hadn't bee caught red handed, so to speak, I'd have denied it.

Al I have is an email from you, which does NOT mention immigration papers, but which does suggest their place of origen.

So no, I don't have their immigration papers. I do think that the tre locals mentioned are very likely to point to likely home towns.

Nearly all of the family information I have is my interpretation Of what I have heard from you.
Where did you get the three town names?
