"Bramwell"

"Bramwell," a great English TV production, is a fine story of manners set in Victorian London. The Bramwells, father and daughter, are doctors.
The daughter, Dr. Eleanor Bramwell, runs a free clinic in a poor neighborhood. Jemma Redgrave plays the part. She has a very strong supporting cast.

Netflix calls it cerebral. I call it a pleasure. Netflix has four seasons of it available!

"Sequins"

A better name for this English subtitled French movie might be, A Common Thread. This Sombrero Productions work is directed by Eleanore Facher.

A Netflix person calls the film 'emotional and understated.'

Lola Neymark plays Claire who is troubled with an unintended pregnancy.
Ariane Ascarides plays Madame, who has recently lost a son.

Life and embroidery brings them together in understanding respect and support.

TV?

Does on demand internet streaming video count for TV? I use it. Just watched 75 episodes of a Japanese anime called "Hikaru No Go"
and I have never played go. I get much good entertainment and information via Netflix. My choices have their peculiarity and having the choice is marvelous.

I still have Netflix send me a DVD each time I return one. Coming up on my DVD queue are:
Pete Seegar: the power of song
Kabei: our mother
Grapelli: a life in the Jazz century
The Company: Inigo and his Jesuits

A Netflix program suggests that I watch the following "Instantly:"
The War on Democracy
Cheers
Jazz
Travelers Magicians.
